Back at it again in 2018, The Xbiz Cam Awards has a date set for May 31st in Miami,Florida. This will be the second year for the Xbiz Awards and it’s definitely getting lots of interest from cammodels all over. In fact we have several cammers within the Boleyn Models network set to launch promotional campaigns in hopes of winning a coveted title. The pre-nomination period for the 2018 XBIZ Cam Awards will run from Feb. 27 until March 26, with the finalist nominees announced on April 9. Finalist voting will then run from April 9 through May 31. According to xbiz director of marketing and advertising, @XbizLeah last years event brought in over one million unique votes and because of the newest categories to be added she expects that number to be even greater.

So Whats Different About This Years Xbiz Cam Awards?
In addition to cammodels, cammodel studios and camsites to be honored, there are now new categories for adult content creators. There have been so many changes in the world of clipmaking in the past year, that it comes as no surprise when Xbiz and other industry award shows are start recognize that a cammodels job doesn’t just end when the webcam shuts off. Not by a long shot! There is so much that goes into what we do as online performers and content creators. It’s a never ending process of entertaining fans while trying to find a balance and maintain a personal life as well. Creating clips and managing personal webpages, plus social media is a full time job. Many models spend more time preparing content now and days than they do live on cam. Some models only log in a few times a month just to check in with fans and to stay current on their chosen camsite. Now that newer clipsites like Manyvids and IWantEmpire are starting to come into their own unique marketing tools, becoming a clipmaker has become more and more lucrative.
But it’s not just the stand alone clipsites that are promoting individual content sales, major camsites like Streamate have started to offer a new way for it’s models to make money from video sales. And then there is the new MFC Share from MyFreeCams that I think is truly unique and stands apart from most other camsites. Members can purchase content directly from a models page without leaving the chatroom and their purchases are displayed right there for everyone to see in the hopes that it will encourage other viewers to check out the content as well. Pure Genius.
